| End of project guys yeah right !!! First up is the god dam wiring again, so close to getting the bay done. i have got so much done, routed it all where it needs to be just need a final push to connect it all up and one wire need to be lengthened, anyone got some 4mm single in red !!?? right pics as promised, As stated before fuel system all done, just one hose to carb then finito. mounted the fuel filter on the inner wing. Most of the ends are finished with stainless hose finishers, these little beauts are £4 a pop 8O Also got all the jubilee's for the cooling system on and most tightened up. As you know i have tried to hide as much of the wiring as possble, so i needed to find a location for the coil, this is tricky as it has to be close enough to the dizzy for a HT lead to reach and also close to the hall sender as they are wired together. so i bolted it to the fan cowling, its out the way and not obvious, fingers crossed. thought i would chuck a pic of the door i hung all by myself i'm so talented idiot | |

Luke eh my car has cufflinks do you mean like finger rockers or something ! engine is the same as the 8 valve gti digipants, but just a 1600 and carb fed, but the cam and head arrangment are the same. Not brown or grey my friend i decided to spraythe whole car in black hammered hammerite different me thinks seems to look really odd, and not black, but i like it, especially the hammered effect cheers | |

| I got some rear lights from Malc at inters and have decided to colour code the plastic bits. also stripped and painted the door latch (thanks to oldskool for the bolts) polished the bolts too 8O fitted front bumper but not happy with the red insert. :? removed it and rubbed it down and painted that too primered painted also wired up the main battery cable to the through panel connection I just have to bolt some wheels on the front and i can turn it around and start on the back end just waiting for some money to buy the carb and i can totally finish the engine bay, clutch cable is in too and feels ok. need a 12 spline bit to tighten the drive shaft the the diff flanges. bit of a pain getting one. cheers all | |

| Bought some much needed bits today. Bumper supports and an 8mm 12 spline tool for the driveshaft bolts. so tightened all the bolts, job done. fitted these little beauts, they are none heated versions of what wa on there. I also welded a bolt to the chassis to provide a good earth to the engine bay. but no pics. decided that everything at the font of the car underneath is done so i put some steelies on it and dropped it to the floor. STANDARD REAR HEIGHT AND THE FRONT 8O Fitted the standard orange front indicators to the bumper, What do you think ??? if you look carefully you can see the new wheels :? Waiting on a delivery from demon tweeks, got a load of wire to come so i can finish extended the loom inside the car. also gott blue silcone hose for washer jets and heat reflective tape for the steering boot, bit to close to 4 branch manifold for my liking. O and a crankcase breather. cheers all | |

| Cheers for the comments peeps Well i couldn't help but browse the demon tweeks catalogue and bought a few bits Blue silicone 3mm tube, 3mm 'T' peice. turned that stuff into this Piper X breather filter And loads of wire helped me to finish the engine bay and dash wiring I also bought some aluminium tape to stop the steering boot melting, and i received a parcel that weighed alot. this will remain a secret, sorry. i am now in the process of the last bit of wiring, the bit at the back of the car. all i have to do is route it down the passenger side and cut the horrible plastic sheath off and replace with cloth wrap. got a whole day on it thursday so lots will get done thanks for reading  | |
