I have given this alot of the thought, I am going to keep the polo and finish the carb conversion. I will be buying an engine within the next three months that I will be building. Doubters beware. I know there are those who think the mk1 caddy was rubbish etc. It has even reached my ears that people think my accent is not South African enough to be the guy driving( that made me laugh my asss off),My response is what ever, I dont really care. I am now 33 years old, I think it is concievable that I have actualy built the car I said I built.I am not some young poxy chav running his mouth. If people have a problem with it, its their problem not mine, and I would urge you to grow up put your jealousy in check. I have always been the first to offer help if needed, and have never insulted others, even if I didn't agree with their choices, its their car and good luck to them. Come on guys, where is the team spirit that used to be around, it seems these days everone is just looking for an opertunity to drop sacastic coments left right and center. Anyway I have said what I feel, I know what I have done in the past, and I have nothing to prove.
Thanks fitz for the R32 offer however there is more to consider than just buying a car. The fact that I average 30-40 thousand miles a year would be one of them. Insurance costs for using such a vehicle for comercial use are substantialy more, so I may not want to fork out a fortune, just to drive and R32. Also I may not want to fork out for huge fuel bills. I did say it would be nice to have one, that does not mean I will buy one though. I will see next March as that is when I have to buy a new car. I mean I am not trying to be difficult but also bear in mind my current Passat is only 2 years old and it already has 69980 miles on the clock. Imagine how much an R32 will cost to service. So this is something I will think long and hard about before I make a choice. I appreciate you looking out for me though dude!

Na Ill leave that to the Germans LOL just for interst sake the 16V motor is easier to get more power out of than the 20V because you can rev it higher and run bigger turbos.

Cause the Loon's NOT loud enough without massive induction roar!
Pete, glad you're keeping the Loon, think if you had shot it you'd have wanted it back... Like I STILL regret selling Dot the Notchback... over 10 years ago!

I think I must have missed a bit recently but I for one adore the Loon, it is such a fine tasteful care that has real mechanical potential. Keep it and make it better, stronger, faster.
Unless something really good comes along.
