My engine.........

i have the 1990 mk2 golf 16v.

wondering how to find out or if you know:

if my engine is a k.jet?
is my engine a 9a engine?

its a Kjetronic KR engine mate (well thats if its the original engine which it came with) where as the 2.0 16v engine out of the mark 3 is a ABF Digifant engine. the KR which me and you have in our valvers are mechanical injection, which is what that thing is below the airbox is with the braided fuel pipes/hoses coming out of it.

9a's if i can remember are a 2.0 bottom end which the mark 3 GTI 8v runs

the engine is the original one, yup. the 1.8 16v. Yeah i have the injectors in the air box.

ah so 9a is a 2.0 bottom end?? so not the one on my car?

nah ours arent 2a bottom ends bro.

so a 2.0 litre bottom end is a 9a.

our so what code is our bottom end for the 1.8?
