| vacume leak check your vacume pipes at the back by the bulk head any leak messes with ya runnin OR air leak on air intake normal symptom is no idle OR blowin exhaust, blowin till it warms up (metal expands wen hot) OR do you run on super unleaded?? (coz you should) you could have some shite fuel! OR could you be overdue for an oil & filter change should always buy the filter that has the spring down the middle it maintains pressure in the oil system OR somthing else!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| hello ! the 16v and early k jet suffer with leaking injectors ,and when you start engine sometimes only fire on 2/3 cyl cos the others are flooded with fuel , hence it runs and sounds rough , a good few revs of the engine normally clears it (although not advised on cold engine) if more a mechanical noise check out hyd tappets
see ya | |

| Mine has been quite bad lately as well. think it's just due to the cold cold weather. It's really tappety for ages, but wil stop when the oil gets going round the cams etc. | |

The old rev-when-cold confusion; Racing teams revs cold engines to get a little bit of heat into the cylinder walls and throw some oil up top - the worst thing you can do is rev a cold engine *under load* but I think a couple of stabs up to 2.5/3K just after starting is cool? | |

| Well I replumbed my SAP after a hose broke and we never managed to order the right replacement. Other people run it without to save wait and space. | |
