Good News... New Wishbones Top-mounts front and rear and KW-1's are ON! (not that you'll notice as i've only dropped it another 10-15mm thanks to the Killer speed humps on our road)

Bad news... VAG idin't supply bearings with the new Topmounts, and managed to snap BOTH ARB bushes removing the old Wishbones, BIG BIG Thanks to Bazza for running me about to get the spares...

More Bad news, despite Caddy-Andy's best efforts, the water leak from the head-flange has turned into Niagra, empites the header tank in 10 minutes.. so I need to find a mobile mechanic to get that sorted as I have a flat-out week at work and can'ttake time out to fix the Damn thing in time for GTi-Fest... so another 2 mile round trip walk to the nearest VAG dealer here in London City this week to get a new Flange and seal

Like I said doesn't look much different as I've had to keep it close to where it was thanks to the Mt. Killamanjaro speed humps on our road (two of which are brick)... any lower and I'd be replacing the splitter every couple weeks!

sorry to hear about that devi! not good! is it just that plastic water flange thats on th side of the head? those KWs are just naughty mate. they aren't the ones that have adjustable damping too are they?

It it indeed... booked into a VAG specialist I found only 2 miles away too.. I have the parts so hopefully will all be done tomorrow!

All fixed! Just need break in the weather Saturday to clean and polish it!

Glad you have got it sorted I will look out for it on sunday, and I know what you mean about this weather, the only time I will have to clean and polish the car is Sat and its supposed to be tipping it down

You are prob right. My eye looks at the wheel shape and matches that to the wheel arch.

Back to negative stance discussions... yeah letting the coils and new top mounts settle before finalising the ride. Can't go down at the front unless I remove the splitter! We have 2 seriously huge brick speed-humps in our road and it kisses them now...

So maybe pop the back up 5-10mm to even it out, but its sat dead level, just the whole rear lip's lower than the front thang again.

James if you are popping up to see Andrew (and Voodoo-hint!) can you see if you can get a chrome "sampler" from him for me to look at on Thursday?
