| Thanks for the "hi"s. sorry i just came accross this site after a search for vag forums around herts to ask for help with my damned oil breather pipe. Yep i know its french, and they fall apart but it so badly wants to be one of you .. I know some of the replies were tongue in cheek but if you are quite strict on "must come with a VAG VIN number" then sorry chaps, i just dont qualify, and feel free to delete my account thingie. | |

| I don't think they will delete your profile mate after all your half vag/mongrel Did you do the conversion? Is it a common engine change in clio's - I have no idea.. If the inevitable does happen as the chassis/body collapse and crumble around the engine I will happily adopt it Welcome | |

| cheers chenn... your welcome to it IF it does crumble.. its been vag'd up all over so is pretty strong.
Naa its not a common conversion at all! has been a 4 year pain in the arse to be honest... its the only one in existance, there are a couple of other clio 1.8t's but they are either older or not a renaultsport.. I did it as i wanted more power but love the weight and handling of the clio.. got best of all worlds now i guess | |

| Haha you bunch of mofo's...just jel of the 1.8T beast that resides...most of them on here wish I would have a rear end right-off, so they can have my beast...lol I have seen a matt black Clio that had an TT engine in it...think I saw it at the French Car Show a long time ago. Bet yor car flys...Iv got to drag 1.5 tonn along. Have you had it mapped? Anyways when I owned a Clio, they used to send me to the otherside of the carpark at the meets...lol. Are you on Cliosport.net? Steph. | |

| haha thanks all.. Pinky: lol, well i do see the downsides of french motors believe you me!!!.. so i understand why you were sent to the other side! ... Yes its at 270 brake at the moment, getting to the limits of a k04, could squeeze to 280/300 but then i can see the turbo going in not too long a time... well mine was put on a weight bridge and its 1040kg's, which works out to power per tonne of 260bhp... compared to 273bhp for an Audi R8 Yes, god knows where the Matt black 1.2 shell'd clio 1.8t is now.. Great car but only a straight line, hardly road legal monster - im sure was running over 400brake but i dont think it needed a steering wheel haha.. thats why i chose a renault sport model so the handling, brakes etc was all there... so i didnt die basically! Yes, im on Cliosport, i bought the car off the old owner of the site actually about 9 years ago!.. All the best David | |
