| doing a service on my camper other day ,all went well untill i fired her up and noticed petrol P1SSING out the rh carb fuel line ,it went every where , i did have awhiff of petrol before this but put it down to the metro i was behind cos they always stink , so i have replaced all the fuel hoses as they are 7 years old , this is the most common reason that cars burn out , so beware people check your fuel lines and dubsy your nuts | |

| Old VW have magnesium heads too so once they catch they just roast. I have done all of mine in the Beetle but will check them all again. Glad to hear it was not worse. | |
