| OK Guys after last month's Attitude from the landlord do we have any ideas for an Alternative venue? If we are moving we need to get a venue sorted soon so we can pop it out on all the other forums Edition/Corrado/Polo etc.. I can suggest a couple places down here in Beckton! | |

| Didn't realise anyone got attitude from him? Was ok when Jay and I went in for a drink. Thought we were gonna try that place opposite Salibury's. Anyone up for a cruise around to find a venue. | |

| Yeah, when we went in to get drinks, he started moaning about people not bringing back pint glasses and stuff... and said we didn't have to come back!
Proper miserable bastard!
I think there were only two glases out anyway! You'd think he'd be pleased to have the extra business, but never mind!

| On the other hand, we have been going there for quite a while and a moan about glasses is not something we can't put up with. Saying we don't have to come back is just a challenge. But it is not big enough so would support a change. | |

| i say f*ck it just to poke it up his nose...
at the end of the day a few glasses left out which are free from the brewers isnt much to moan about...(plus he pays people to collect glasses!)
and what does he do in the summer when the garden is full up...does he cry about it to them?
miserable sod! |

| So any suggestions?
The Rose and Crown looked good when I went past, but might be some clearance issues getting in the car-park, guess get James to give a test run to see if it possible!

| if people really wanna change it FINE but i think we need to bear in mind: ;another pub could be just as bad for attitude ;matey may have a bitchy little dig at individuals but he hasent stopped us meeting , and he could , he just has to call the plod and thats it ;i still maintain that we have only filled the car park properly ONCE ;i think its worth keeping the venue a pub ,if we go for public car parks/inds estates we are opening a big can of worms unless they are tucked away from chavy eyes ;all landlords would get their knickers in a twist about glasses in the carpark i am happy to entertain any other ideas but they need to be "better" than red lion just my humble opinion | |

| I am more than happy to have a meeting with the current landlord and find out the complete picture. We can agree to make a concious effort to return glasses and suggest the idea of a BBQ. The current venue has three issues that I can see:
1) No lighting, this is not currently a problem. 2) Could get filled up soon. 3) Landlord has made some comments.
Might be easier to work with what we have got.

| Me and Steve went for a look after the last meet...and we found some really good places all along Apsley about 6 gooduns..not including Halfrauds either. I did say we should go a cruzin at the last meet..but it didnt happen. | |

| All pubs? Like Dan, I feel if we go the Car-park/ Industrial estate route we'll fall prey of Chavers or Plod, plus I like the idea of having one brew whilst looking at cars, a lot more social. Anywhere that sells Foam Bananas will get James' vote though! | |
