| hi all im brad. loved vw's for ages and always wanted a dub. recently iv been given a mk2 caddy van for free off my boss. i was well chuffed to say the least. its been sitting for the last 7/8 years under shelter but not completly protected. anyway cant complain for a free van : D it was abit of a state when i first picked it up coverd in thick dust and had mice living in it. the inside was nasty but after an hour or so of cleaning its pretty mint inside front and back. i work for a small engineering company in apsley and this caddy was the work van before it was layed up so only light use carrying small boxes of parts we make. the reason it was not used for the last 7odd years was due to my boss hitting a deer with it so it done in the ns headlight, indicator, and the ns front wing the strip thats part of the grille that goes under the headlight has broken aswell but all miner stuff shoud be able to pick up thos parts cheap. being a qualified vehicle technitian all the work will be done by myself too. my boss cba to do anything with it after the mash up with the deer so he jus parked it up at his parents place n brought a new van lol my plan with it is to tidy it up get it looking fresh n slam it on banded steels. getting a set of standard 13" steels from dave h on here from his old mk2golf. hopfully go to some meet ups with more dub nuts n shows. ill get some pics up of the caddy asap got some before i cleaned it aswell lol | |

| small update on the caddy not alot has happened really been mad busy with work and other projects ect but iv spent abit of time on it and its running alot better now apart from the annoying squeel as mentiond in the polo/lupo section. its had new plugs, leads, dizzy and rotor arm, and some fresh feul, still not 100% but defo better. also got some wheels for it today lol they need a good refurb and one of them needs a bit of repair and fresh rubber all round but for 120 notes i think i done alrite, there 15x7 or 7.5 ronal LS's . now its just screaming out to be lowered to fill thos gaps in the arches! lol ill get more pics up from different angles. theres a fair bit of poke on the front with these so abit worried for when i come to drop it that its gonna be hitting the arch?!! | |
