Nomads 1st May?

I think, next meet, a couple of us should go and have a word with the land lord? If we tell um who we are n what we are about, we might get a better reception?

Its a good place to meet and people know we are there now?

We could even suggest them putting on a BBQ on thursday in the summer months? It'll be a good attraction for us and good for them cos they can make a bit more dollar out of it!!

As for said polo man, thank god he's been found and his reign of terror ended!!! I saw him last wednesday, don't think i've cringed that hard in my life!!

Get him to come next thursday, and bring the sunstrip so we can burn it infront of him!!

Ok, just had another idea. The boot in chipperfield. Its got a big car park by the side and i know form when i had a bike, that they are friendly to that sort of thing.

They took over the wednesday bike meet that used to happen in sarrat, which was massive. If he is willing to have 100 odd loud bikes rocking up, im sure 20 dubs would be a breeze....

I understand everyone's concern about going down to halford's. How about meeting up one night, an having a drive around, sometime soon so we can find somewhere.

yeah, coz i think traveling a bit further could put us in a really nice spot, especially coz of light evenings

I will be part of a drive to find some nice places. If it is what we have to do then so be it. We can drop into some places and have a chat with them and see how they react.

I have to say some good points have been raised in this dicussion...i now see why we can NOT meet at halfords, and that we should stay at the lion for this coming nomad meet.... if the carpark at the Red Lion was bigger we wouldnt have a problem.... but we have outgrown this place and this is the main reason why we will need a bigger meeting place....i hope we can get our heads together and come up with a solution at the next meet.

Yeah i agree, lets all keep our eyes pealed n see what we can come up with then hava talk about it next thursday?

I think the solution is gonna be a bit out of town somewhere, a pub on an A road someplace? I drove past a couple yesterday and they had massive car parks. They we out Wheathampstead/hatfield way, so a bit far for us, but its the sort of place we need to be looking for.

Seen a few places, gotta check em out, give an update soon.

What about apsley industrial estate where Apsley tyres and Tow-b-Fabs is its flat and massive and just off the high st opposit Sainsburys?

If we did still want a pub, i've been told the plough in levy green has quite a big car park, im gonna check it out after work n see if its any bigger than the red loins
