| Have a word with Cali about stuff to do to yours to extract as much power as you can before your remap. Assuming these things haven't already been done, he is the guru of the 1.8T | |

| I would need more information to answer that. Also depends on what you have currently, the KO3 was replaced with one refered to as the KO3s. The KO4 doesn't not directly fit due to exhaust manifold and exhaust differences. There was a KO4-001 which was technically in the KO3 housing, not really a KO4 but certainly holds boost for longer and has some benifits over a KO3 and KO3s.
If we are talking about a hybrid then it could have significant improvement over a KO3 and KO3s but it all depends on who did the work.
By this point you would need to have several other things considered such as injectors and MAP sensor before you have a stage 3 remap.
I have a K04-0402 to fit which is a meant to be good for 240 bhp unmapped, so similar territory to a stock KO4 but in a KO3 housing. | |

| Thanks for the info, the car is being fitted with bigger injectors, the MAF is being checked and if maxed out is being replaced also changong the theromstat and moving the air intake so that it is away from the engine (previously located next to the turbo) so was very hot also changing the head gasket to a thicker one and a full service and on the rolling road tweak the ecu and see what we get and what else is needed to get the best from the engine with out going silly should all be done today (13/05) | |

| I forgot to mention insurance, companies don't like the word remap as they don't seem to be able to check what you have had done, whereas they have a better understanding of chiping or superchip. So you have hybrid going on then? | |
