| Hi people my names Matt and ive just joined and saying hi there. The memeber (Ralfy) a good mate of mine with the post below me told me about this forum and it looks a good laugh so thought i'd join up too. Ive got a Mk4 R32 in Black that ive owned for about 5 years. I had a 1.8t Mk4 Anniversary before this so always been in the vw scene. Ive done a few mods to the 32. Milltek rear box Non Res pipe Full de cat Straight through exhaust system (no silencers) Revo Stage 1 (stage 2 map being loaded shortly, October) Carbonio CAI HPA Short shifter 20mm rear spacers and 10mm fronts FULL LED/SMD exterior & interior light bulb upgrade US spec rear lights (being fitted shortly, October) Cupra front splitter Black badges Vented lower grills to aid airflow to the Carbonio Upgraded brakes Polo rear wiper 6000k bulb upgrade (factory is 4300K) Next mods on list - Performance Haldex, Neuspeed ARB's front & rear, Defcon 2 bushes, Forge front adjustable control arms, H&R race spings or coilovers. Sorry the pic's arent the best and they are old, i will find some better ones for you all. Ive just found these ones of my old Anniversay, it was Revod to 220bhp and was a pretty quick car back then although it needed dropping BIG time lol!

| You would be round the corner from me then. I would be interested to see how your machine performs as I have been working on a 1.8T but lust a little after the R. | |

Iv got a Revo stage 1 on my 225...what do you think of them?..mines a beast since having it mapped...and the petrol consumption is really good (better than before) if Im just pootling about but it gobbles it up like there is no tomorrow if I boot it....best of both worlds.

Good to finally have u along!! Well well well its a very small world! Yep ive still got the plate. Hows it going mate its good to finally get on here! The last time i saw you you were leaving VW and moving to work for Seat or Skoda i think? I have actually seen you a couple of times in Kings Langley but never been able to catch you up. If there are any meets going on i will definately try and make it. Im sure you had some alloys with a bright green lip It will be good to catch up.

My nans in Garston so am around that way a few times a week, ive probably seen you about. What have you done to it mod wise. The 1.8t's are very strong with a map, i remember my old 1.8 was Revo'd to about 210/220 and that was rapido.

Hey there, i love the 1.8t's they are so easy to tune. When you say 225 are you talking TT? My friend has a mapped 225 cupra r with a full milltek and thats an animal. It made just over 260 on the rollers. Dont you think that if they sent them out the factory with a map they would have sold so much more! Fuel consumpsion and r32 arent spoken about. Its a bit like the first rule of fight club lol

Its a bit like the first rule of fight club lol Yep a 225 TT..well it was 225 dont have a clue what it is now but they reckoned they got about 35+ bhp out of it. Heard lots about the miltek and thats what I would like to do next and maybe the front mount. It does seem strange that they restricted these engines so much..especially if they can be more economical...not sure they would of sold more though...cant sniff at 225bhp as standard. It's not miles per gallon...its smiles per gallon.

| [quote="MattyV6"I will see if i can get my friend along in his revo'd cupra r, he's a real decent bloke and im sure will let you have a propper look at the milltek system. Your tt must be an absolute flying machine and it 4 wheel drive too so you cant go wrong! Yes its definately smiles per gallon lol, although keeping that smile on my face has cost me big big time
Yeah nice one..that would be interesting....tbh its all I hear other TT owners go on about..so I want one too...lol..baaaaaaa. I thought my TT was fast before but its totally changed the car...I would say the lag has been halved and it just picks up like a train in every gear... want to do Santa Pod soon.
I miss that punch you get from a turbo and especially a remapped one. I know for a fact that your be quicker than mine from a rolling start, remapped turbo cars have soooooo much ingear go. My mates mapped cupra r eventually comes past me (higher speeds) and carries on going. The r32 is brutal low down to mid range but top end it kinda runs out of steam. Maybe ive got used to the speed but if im honest im no match for all you light weights, the 32 ate all the pies at the factory lol. I would definitely recommend either getting a de cat or a milltek high flow cat, the difference in pick up is incredible not to mention the sound!
