| As many will know, I have done a few things to my engine in expectation for a remap.
Silicon Turbo intake pipe (forge), cut inside of light cluster to get it to fit. Silicon boost bypass pipe (forge) Complete revised and modified PCV system. Adjustable recirculating blow off valve (forge fmcl007p) Replaced vacuum pipes with silicon pipes and new clips. Replaced N75F valve with N75J then replaced with a new N75F Forge front mounted intercooler Turbo Back Milltek exhaust system K&N Panel Filter A few other bits of silicon might have been butchered to fit...
I never did get a stage one as I was on the way to stage two, I was stalled last year as I have a G60 flywheel and VR6 clutch to fit, as well as a K04-0402 turbo.
During the week, a close brother-in-crime of mine asked if I wanted to do a rolling road day, they needed to make up the numbers to get a discount so I agreed to go along.
I thought that with all this work the car would be producing more that the 150 it left Wolfburg with. But no, the dyno gave me 142.3.
It would appear that the ECU is detecting overboost and adusting the turbo actuator and reducing PSI. It should be peaking at 7, it peaked at 9 then dropped off to 2 quite quickly. So today I have learnt that some simple mods might give gain but then the ECU will fight back. I also learnt that it is not going to cost me much to jump from 142 to over 230 so I will be going back to them shortly. Still a good day though, some amazing home brewed cars.

| For what they quoted and the gains they said you'd get you'll drive there in the morning in a very capable and fun car, and drive home in a monster.
The offer of a drag race at the pod is now off. :-)

| Sounds like a stage one remap to me. The drop is usual, I have a few ideas we are going to try to maintain the boost as much as possible but expect something similar. I hope for higher boost though, do you have a KO3s? | |

| The KO3 can make 14.7 psi when pushed and the KO3s can make 23 psi. I have a KO4 to be fitted at some point and that might got up to 28 psi. With a de-restrictive downpipe and better cooling of the compressed air, the boost can be set higher for more torque and ultimately BHP. Or could blow up. | |
