| hello everyone i was wondering if anyone had experienced any steam leaks from their water pump on their mk2 1.8 driver, i think it could be a gasket or seal but was wondering if anyone had any ideas before i wip it off the car , plus is a straight replacement costly??
Many Thanks charlie | |

| Should be straight replacement.. best to renew if you're taking it to bits..
Buy VAG with a metal Impellor as the plastic ones sold ny "other" parts stores have a tendancy of shearing

| For the cost and ease of replacement, I'd change it.
The times I've spent more on trying quick fixes than if I'd just swapped something out.

| generally a water pump for a mk2 will hardly cost u anything fella £20 -£30 tops!! and only mk4 golf/bora/leon/audi etc etc water pumps tend to be plastic from VAG so dont worry about ending up with one with plastic impellers
if u need any help getting a pump etc or need any more help let us know

| Upload them to Photbucket, once there you will see there's an option to copy the code to here, just a matter of copy and paste from there... | |
