Car Accident - Need Garage Suggestions

The Golf was involved in a smack last night, old man drove out of a side road and we collided. Bumper, bonnet and left wing are damaged, light survived.
No one was hurt at all, air bags did not deploy so no complaints there.

The other chap accepted liability but no one stopped so we shall see on that front.
I can get the insurance to collect the car, fix it and repair it done.
Or
I can get a hire car, get a known garage to do the work and then be more comfortable with the work.

If you have any suggestions in the South Herts area then please them me know, I need to sort this out today.

Stay clear of bodgeshaws I've sEen some of their work, not impressed!

Well they plan to send out an assessor to look at the damage, then we can decide on the next step. If the car is going off the road then I might as well get the rest of the body work done at the same time if I can.
Tomorrow I plan to take a good look at the damage and work out what needs doing in case they offer me money but I might as well take the stress out of this and let them fix it all.

I am not actually effected by it, the work I have done was for my own experience and pleasure and none of that is effected. I would rather spend my time fitting the bits I have collected for the next phase but that is just life pointing me in a different direction.

go with a VAG bodyshop ... did this with the Rocco, they also sorted out couple of other patches too!

They are going to assess it on Wednesday, we are going to talk about other work that needs doing at the same time.

Dont take it to a insurer recommended bodyshop!!! every time i've done this i've regreted it. Take it a good bodyshop that you know or better still I'd take it to VAG.

I still have not got it back, there is an issue with them forgetting to check something I told them was broken. Hopefully get it back next week...
