1.

On the top of the grille on mk2 ive got an eyebrow which helps to add to the mean look. Along the bottom of the grill there is also a white band (god i should know the name of this) and it has cut outs at the bottoms for the lights).

Is it possible to get one without the cut outs for the lights just to neaten up the front...?? Does this effect beam pattern ??

Best off does anyone know a link where i could purchase one (hint hint Wink ) -- i have seen it in on cars PVW so im gunna guess its not a custom made thing

2.

Vr6 conversion on a mk2 -- would need to swap the subframe and then just drill out holes so they lined up...:S right ?? :S

Regards Duggie Very Happy xx

1) its aJETTA lower grill insert

2) you need the whole mk3 subframe/engine and it fits straight swap thats the easy bit
best to have a whole mk3 VR6 to swap over

You should hear mine vs a 1.8T and then you might get why a VR is desirable Very Happy

There's a number of tips when you do the swap, including which rad to use, engine mounts etc.

Tell your mate to head over to www.mk2vr6.com

...and the VR6OC, now I think of it.

Also found there's a lot of wise modders on VW Vortex, mostly in the US and Scandinavia (and I was looking for forced induction help as much as Mk2 VR6) but still worth a look.
