| Before After (pictures poor due to phone) Where the engine meets the gear box shows the best before and after. Before After, I did this with all the visible/accesible plugs, could do with more time on these though. The washer tubing because Im sad. Still not 100% happy but without taking the engine out for a clean and a paint I think this is almost as good as it going to get. | |

keep up the good work dude Cheers mate still needs a bit more work. All the steaming has been done at home with a small portable one, I'll be steaming the chasis in the next few weeks that'll be done at work though. I got a quote for doing some paint work from the body shop at work, on the drivers door about the size of two fifty pence pieces and some rust under the battery about the size of a £5note. Its going to cost £100 materials and labour. Im well happy as I was quoted £350 by the bodyshop next to voodoo. Its going to be spot on for the show season hopefuly after the easter weekend.

Im wholey unsure of what to do. A VR6 conversion maybe on the cards over the winter months as I'll buy a banger run about and garage the Mk2, although I do like the originality of it. Im wanting a full blow over now, as having that bit of paint has shown the other defects in there true colour but that will probably be next year need to do a bit of saving up. I'd like a Bonnet bra, and I should be getting some G60 steels for winters but Im waiting to hear back from a mates mate..

| Seems to be having a flat spot between 3000 and 4500 rpm at the moment, but hard to fault find before I finally move the MAF and fit the new mapping.. | |

| Sad update but none the less. I had a holiday day owed so I thought I'd take it today, I went the scrappy in hemel to have a look if there was any golfs not holding on to much hope it turned out he had three. I then had a few bits of each of them lol The little plastic bit that covers the screw for the handbrake cover. Tape Holder (Just because I thought it was cool) Heater control panel as mine had stoped lighting up(I will LED the old one) Im unsure what these are called but mine are both knakered. (Pax side drivers is worse) So got a few of a CL & a diesel that was there, four in total as there is a size diffrence wasnt sure which size I wanted. The rear window heater switch again beacause the bulb had stopped I also got a ash tray as I mangaed to break mine the other day no pics though lol. All for the princely sum of £5 yes your reading that correctly £5 I was waiting to be fleeced TBH I was polite to the fella and he seemed to apriciate what I was doing to the Golf. I know there just small things and of not much interest but Im hoping it will make the overall apperance of the Golf better. | |

| Awesome!
At those cars at the scrappy you plundered, I had the front bumper from the blue one, the dash insert from the white one, and the tailgate from the silver one.
Now thats recycling!

Stu Haha, recycling at its best. I went back last friday and the white one had been sent to the crusher even though there where loads of odds and sods that could of been sold off. Next time he gets a new golf in Im going to pilfer almost all of the usful bits and throw them in the lock up.
