| top mounts are a rubber bush/bearing which are sandwiched between ur coilovers/suspension and ur car suspension turret -
just dont buy GSF ones or a cheap brand as they tend to knock after a while
either get genuine ones (see me) or get uprated ones .....i think venom motorsport do em | |

| Ha, you trying to beat me on this Sparkie. I have to make a decision on mine suspension today and fit them on Saturday week. I will buy genuine VW bushes is Fitzy can help . I have heard the mk4 golf can suffer from shorter springs and shocks by being too low at the back which looks wrong. With coilovers I can make sure it is set up properly but would probably then leave them at that height. I also did not want to spend a fortune but would try to buy a known brand as I want to know what I am buying and need them quickly. Eibach are my prefered springs but out side of that I have not made a choice yet. Hard isn't it . | |

| Be careful Cali, depending on how low you go, on the MK4 the arb can rub on the drive shaft I think if going lower than 40mm. So you end up replacing it too, especially if you are running coilover's and want to lower it a bit more later on. | |

| my brothers mk 4 never rubbed and that was slammed :S none of the arches where pulled or anything on sparkies note Suspension Mounts and Bearings Front 6N0412331E (6N0412331D) Rear 191 512 333 (Lower) 191 512 335 (Upper) Top mount bearings... 6N0 412 249 C just changed my shitty europarts ones after less than a year! put my originals bk on, much better!!! have alook for FK Silverline coilovers, i paid an extra £60 for stainless version so they dont seize, but if moneys an issue buy the zinc plated ones, spray them with the lubricant you get, and if you fussy like my, ive now resorted putting a football sock over them, i had them off the other day and they are like new underneath (anal, ahem) |

matt (fitzy) should be able to sort you out!
note for matt: all my wishbones and brakes and track rods are the same as a mk2 golf, but i have heard rumours of it being similar to a polo aswell |
