| Aye I concur with the Smiffer... 1/ Best colour and uber-low miles.. but you may get beaten up by the Buffers if you changed it/put serious miles on it 2/ Intermittant history, plus lots of "Niggles" But a seeminly good car and easy knock down points (C/locking -probably a pipe off, Sunroof- Probably the "Usual" rebuild or replce with passat) 3/ Wow all the Big jobs done (Rear bushes a pita ask Yeti)... priced a bit high for a car who has effectivly a "blown" engine though. Plus in teh current VR climate, I'd go 4k max on any of them I'm afraid... Glad I have a valver now though! | |

| Good finds, I have gone a bit quiet on this as I my money has been put into Decorating for now and sorting out the Golf so it can be sold. A workshop solution is being sought which would ease the burden of outside my house so maybe this might be back on this year... However, I like the two highlighted by you Corrado guys, they are however more than I want to pay right now. I am also concerned about the MPG of these cars, I don't want to spend all my money on Petrol... | |

| Geoff, stay off the loud pedal and they're pretty economic, above 30 is quite posible. | |

| I got 20mpg on the way to work this morning! Top Gear last night inspired me to try it.
2nd > 4th changes FTW. | |

| I am driving a Ford Escort Diesel around the north of Scotland right now and it seems to be doing 55 MPG. As the roads are so twisty I am not sure I could go much faster however it feels like crap. Let us see what the new year brings, I want to do it but am not going to do it just yet until I know how the financial crisis will effect my life. | |

| I usualy average around 25mpg in my vr but as Jon says if you're careful you can get 32. but whats the point of that i just love that VR roar when you hit 3.5 k also..... just to add my my 2 pence worth. all those cars look good. I love midnight blue its such a nice colour but I'd agree all slightly overpriced. | |

| Not bored, it has never lived up to the MK2, it is very expensive to run and still has a boost leak. I was getting bored and fancied a VR6 Rado, however I have had a few ideas bout the MK4 and hopefully will fix them. | |

| At present, I don't think I would use all that lovely power. The missus has admitted to getting car sick. However she likes the rush of riding on the motorbike.... | |

| So telling you there's a Mint, Black VR with only 101k on the clock, FullVSH, and rare 2yr only Isometric-cloth recaros for 2.5K pretty pointless then? | |
