| Am picking up some Weber Twin 45's on saturday and will begin stripping down the top half of th golfs engine.
Any body familiar with the general setup of these?? I will get the final setup and tweak done proper, but just the general install etc???
And whos best for the final tweaks?? locally?? | |

| Can recommend GAC near Aylesbury. They built teh engine for my Notch-back and that ran Webber DCNF's plus their main business is Formula-Vee which is all carb-based! | |

| Got the car running Sounds like a dragstar, is lumpy as a plague sufferer but should be cool once i have it on the rollers! i have small things left to do now; - plug the injector holes, they are kept in by the pressure of the engine within a rubber seal, so should be easy. - connect the vaccuum hose from the brake servo to either the inlet manifold, or the vaccuum point on the fuel pressure regulator. - solder a nipple on the end of the throttle cable and set in place. existing cable can be used. - run cold air feed up to the brass band at the back. Trumpets - Remove bulkhead to open up windage tray. didnt want to do it before as wanted to be sure the carbs would fire up! most of this should be done by next sunday i'll shop about the firms! i have heard stealth are good, but will give most of them a bell see what they are like! brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappppppppp pop pop pop pop pop | |
