corrodo recaro rear bench in a mk2??

hey guys! ive just bought a corrodo rear bench ive seen them in mk2's before but im wondering how they do it? as the mounts for the back seats are 2inches away either side? ive had a quick look? and the easiest way to put them in seems to be either extend the mounts out? or just fabricate a braket closer? but that means welding on to the rear struts, which i dont want to do having never looked at a corrodo i could be being very stupid and theres a much easier way if any1 can advise it would be great!!!!!

i think you need to swap the shells of the seats over, so you still use the mk II mounts...
so you take the leather/cloth and cushioning off corrodo metal back with the mountings,
and take the cloth cushioning off the mk II and swap them over.

i did this with my polo 6n now got vr6 highline leather so i'm quessing, but it should work
