What a day I have had, a proper petrol head one at that.
This morning the Beetle engine was taken out in under twenty minutes, clutch changed and then oil seal replaced, then she was back in and running a few hours later with a tune thrown in. Then food in face, shower and drive to the Bedford Autodrome to witness the Jetta in action.
It was pretty impressive turnout of cars, some lovely Porsches and other delights but Betta the Jetta stood out as a car that had been lovelingly fettled by her owner. There was also a tasty MK2 who is a local boy so we invited him to join us Nomad's.
Matty took us all out for a session and he wasn't holding back, we had some sideways action and at one point was chasing down a pretty rapid supped up Astra VXR. Matty drove like a go and the Jetta went like a goddess.
Great fun and the circuit was very good, I would certainly have a go when the Golf is in better shape.
What a day, now to sleep and get ready for tomorrow and more Nomad fun.
