in theory .....
if you put a spacer on each engine mount you be fine what you have to watch out for is engine hitting bonnet and down pipe fouwling the fire wall
so you need to spacer for the downpipe and with the bonnet up work out how high you can get away with.
the problem you will have is engine movement . if you have never done it a recommend you take her for a spin with the bonnet off to see how much movement there is it smore than you think.
the way round it is solid engine mounts if your flush
or at least a passat front engine mount if your not
(they lock together and dont pull appart like standard mk2 ones)
you also may need to notch the chassis to allow for drive shafts
also you could be getting through cv boots coz yur suspension /wishbones/ balljoints etc are worn /slack giving you more play
and the cv's are taking the brunt of it??
