newer than new

hi, iam new to the forum and new to the vdub scene, i have recently got myself a 95 vr6 after promising myself one for almost 20 years, i have been running classic minis and mk1/2 escorts for many years and this is my first vw and i have been 100% converted over night. iam just sorting out a few bits and bobs and changing things like wheels exhaust ect then in the next couple of weeks its going to be my daily. my name is Ty and iam based in essendon herts(not far from hertford).

yeh i know they arnt everys one cup of tea but you will be pleased to i sold a mini to finance the vr and they is now totaly out of my system

the sound is part of what has always attracted me to them, i fitted a miltek system today which along with the ram air filter that was on it when i got it makes it sound mental when you give it some, the fuel consumption is not quite as bad as i was expecting and iam sure it will go down a bit when i have had it for a while and stopped driving it just to make noise. i will definatly be making meets when possible, when and where is the next meet?

We meet every first thursday of the month, currently at Cow Roast on the A41 (generally after a convoy from Hemel) so just missed one but if you look in the "Shows/events" forum bit there's a list of everything going on, including weekend shows and things like Ace Cafe VAG night etc
