| After seeing pictures of the Jetta from thursdays meet, there was one thing letting it down..................BORING WHEEL COLOUR, so went to apsley motor spares and done this!!............................Pony head will be proud!
Couldnt decide what colour so done BOTH!!!

| ok, today i was busy busy busy,
Due to upcoming track day i got some bits done
1. Replaced Clutch and selector finger thingy (old one was fooked!!) 2. Replaced Rear gearbox mount 3. Replaced leaking o/s diff seal
Also found the sump has taken quite a bit hit and is seeping oil................rubbish!!!.............
So tomorrow will try and paint roof (if she lets me)
Still to fit Cali's old poly bushed lower arms Sort my friggin gear linkages out Refurb track wheels -and get tyres | |

| Today I -Rust treated and Painted the roof matt black -Re painted rear boot plinth (gone dull) -Painted rear valance (to cover up the mess i made with spooners toffee wheel) -Painted rear 'Jetta' Badge (to cover up hole left by immobliser) -Done Grill surround white | |

| FAILED MOT 2DAY
Not too bad consdering tis 20 years old
1) Rear brake compensator seized (wire brush and wd40 will sort that) 2) Middle rear seat belt not tested (managed to trap it under seat!!-DOH!) 3) Hazard lights defective when fog lights are on (will get my master tech to sort this out saturday!!)
Considering i thought i was goin to get a failure certificate longer than 'War and peace' MOT Station said it was completly rust free and in excellant conditon!!, which lightened my spirits | |

| Looking good mate, the re done roof looks alot better. Shame about the MOT , but as you say, not a bad list considering its age. Probably has alot to do with the fact it never got rained on in SA! LOL! Whens the track day? Have a good one doing that! Very Jealous! | |

| As you all know i will be reppin the nomads at a track day on friday
Have spent litterally the last TWO days preparing for it!!
1. Stripped out rear of interior and Matt blacked the rear bulkhead 2. Now running JUST early GTI seats and door cards 3. Replaced coolant bottle and cap 4. Replaced lower arm bushes with Poly's (u'll be pleased Cali!!) 5. New Track rod ends 6. New Lower ball joints 7. New ARB links (thanx Dubdread) 8. Drilled and grooved Discs 9. Green stuff front pads and Brake fluid change 10.New sump (being re-inforced by RusyRider) to be fitted 11.Braided hoses all round -to be fitted (due to hose union seized)
12...........oh yeah i ALMOST forgot............theres been a wheel change!!!!?????
