The most important bit for people to follow in order to try and prevent problem deals is this:
Guidelines
While Nomads cannot ultimately accept responsibility for classified
ads here are some guidelines to make the transaction as safe and easy as
possible.
When concluding a sale we strongly recommend that both parties exchange
the following information BEFORE any money is handed over;
1. Full Name
2. Full Address and Postcode
3. Landline Telephone Number
4. Payment Method
5, Delivery or collection details
Should there be any delay in completion then both party’s will have full contact details to hand.
If you follow these guidelines it should help to ensure
you have no problems with deals on Nomads, If however, you are having
problems please contact a member of staff and we will do what we can to
help.
PAYPAL GIFT:
Please be aware then when sending money to someone, if they ask to be
paid via gift to avoid the fees that you have no insurance or comeback
with PayPal.
So if the item never arrives, is broken, not as described, there is nothing you can do about it.
Obviously most people are trust worthy and you can buy from them without
a worry. But just use some common sense. Someone who has been around
for years, posted loads and regularly goes to meets is unlikely to rip
you off. Someone who joined a few days before? They might be genuine but
just think before you send the money..
