Was thinking of getting a mk2 golf GTI gearbox for my jetta to rebuild and fit over the winter........

i'm assuming it would benifit as it will be a closer ratio?? and i wont be wasting my time!!
and i take it that it would just bolt straight in?

i think all the gear linkages are the same
