Recognise most of the names on here from various other forums dotted around.
I'm from Harrow Weald / Hatch End sides, and drive a Seat Leon and have acquired a Golf Mk1 Cabriolet in Metallic Bronze.
Been working on the Golf on and off for about 8 months and have upgraded and replaced parts when i can (time and money are the biggest issues at the moment.)
Absolutely love driving both cars for different reasons, but underpinning both is the quality of German workmanship.
The Leon was imported by myself about 10 years ago (cos back then you could save £££ by importing) and i've slowly done things to improve the performance and look of the car.
About a year ago we were blessed with a baby, and so now my wife drives the Leon around.
I picked up the Golf from my brother in law for the princely sum of £400 and as mentioned have been doing it up, with new carbs, electrics, central locking, alarm etc etc. It's now also rocking a CarPC which i have built and fabricated myself.
Give me a flash or a honk or a wave if you see either of these 2 driving around!
