1993 Maritime Blue G40

After much deliberation I am selling my G40 as I need a bigger car and I have another Mk1 polo as my project car.

I've owned this car for 2 years now, it's my second G40. I work from home and it's my second car so I don't get to drive it much. I've only done about 10k miles in the past 2 years.

4 New Tyres - Jan 10
All 4 standard BBS alloys refurbed - Jan 10
60/40 Lowering springs - Jan 10
Heated rear screen switch - Feb 10
Battery - Feb 10
Alternator - Sept 09
Cylinder head overhaul - Sept 09
Replaced earth straps - Sept 09
Remove and replace breather system - Sept 09
Charger rebuilt to R1 spec, induction kit and boost return fitted - Sept 09
Water pump - Aug 09
Fuel tank - June 09
Standard real silencer - March -09
Front bumper - Sept 08

Lots of other little bits/service parts all of which I have receipts for.

Bad Points
Interior is standard but the door cards are slightly faded (passenger side especially)
There is a sratch down the passenger side wing









The car is going in for a service over the next week so isn't quite ready to go. I'm going to get some better pics up at the weekend also.

Thanks really good sell in the end. Had a guy who was just genuinely interested in it and really liked it. Came to see it sat and took it same day

Now looking for my next car I love the Mk1 but I think it's getting a little annoying driving at a top speed of 50mph!

Can't decide whether to go on budget and get a Passat or spend a bit more and get a nice Audi A4 hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Sod the "old" shape A4, really small inside... with mattias' chair in the back there's less legroom than in the Mk3 golf! B5.5 onwards Passat has a bit more space inside I believe...
