speeding :(

hey guys... ive been a bit naughty. drove to dunstable with some mates this evening and went along the A5 to get there from st.albans...
got there, no problems, all good.....

anyway...

on the way back we went down the M1 from dunstable and I (we) started being a bit silly. after sailing through the average speed check area of 50mph, driving at 50mph, it ended and i think i got up to roughly MPH before i realised i need my car/licence to live.
I understand that on the motorway the cameras dont flash(or do anything noticable) but i cant help but having a nasty feeling at the back of my head that i might get something in the post, especially after reading/commenting on a post similar to this one.
does anyone commute regularly along the stretch of the M1 that passes luton at a similar speed, do they actually work?

Usually they only catch you if you break the speed that it says on the signs, if no speed is displayed then your normally OK.

Just learn your lesson and drive like you normally do (and don't ever post on a site what speed you were actually doing, you arse)

The M1 cameras are currently only active in the 50mph limit - and only one set at a time.

is that where theyre preparing to do the road works. i went up to mk on sunday and the had signs saying they wernt active, they were just in place read for work to start

thanks martin, its just cos my mates were drivin like dickheads, I kinda got carried away.... saw the gantry cameras and slowed down, not like me to get carried away... bit ashamed of myself to be honest. hopefully nothing happens...
