| stay with tescos, im about to change from direct line. if you speak to them about renewing an existing policy you should get a good deal. I spoke to them about modifications to my mk5, as long as i declare the mods to the insurance people i can put up to £2000 of visular and preformance modifications to the car.
better still if you get the policy online you get a 15% discount doing it over the web, then phone them up and say you are going to modify your car! sorted.
another good one to try would be adrian flux. They specialise is modified cars but they are brokers which means you'll probably have to pay a large premium, keep your options open mate but my advice would be speak to tescos over the phone and just explain your situation.
im 22 and ive only been driving a year in feb so dont worry too much buddy, there will be an insurance company out there for you! | |

| some time ago I put up a post about how w**k direct line is... any hoo I was given an amaising quote by quinn insurance a couple of days ago and thought fantastic! Adrian flux phoned me today asking if they could try and beat the price, as they are a broker i thought..... mmmm probably not gonna be quinn but what the hell. but from nowhere they pulled the best quote ive ever been given for a modified car! its unreal! and its all mods declared and the extra bhp i want too!
yay for adrian flux | |

| Yup, Adrian Flux (actually HIC) sorted me out on my Golf too, best 'off the shelf' price was something like £2200 and they came in at about 800 fully comp, which has fallen to 650 this year. All mods declared (including a 100% power increase over standard!). Apparently 650 is the average UK insurance premium these days! Admiral/Elephant were the best for my group 20, no NCB Mercedes by the way, and something called Lancaster (4x4 specialist) via Confused came in at 200 on the landy, next best was 500 - anyone with a Syncro? | |

| has anyone had any issues with adrian flux..... ever? I know ive just said how great they are and im planning to change in less than 17 sleeps unfortunatly as i bought my car off my old man and hes seen me playing with it, alloys wheels and coilies in the garage etc hes giving me enough grief to insight gandhi to fisty cuffs at the moment. the quote they have given me clearly states that mods will be insured and i will be fully comp but they havent sent me 'terms and conditions' of the contract. i dont see this being a big issue because everyone ive met through being a 'vw enthusiast' seem to be salt of the earth people, the girlfriend you'd take to meet your parents and all that bollocks. just for peace of mind | |
