Tracking

hello everyone, lowered my car and was wondering were could i get the tracking done near by? i went to a few local people but i couldnt either get it on there ramps as my exhaust would catch and they didnt want to use wood blocks, and others just didnt want to do it

Lots of people here have good results from Discount, but for the same money (or less) you can take it to Wheels In Motion in Chesham who have probably (no offense intended) forgotten more about alignment and tracking than Discount know.

WIM have a proper 3D laser/computer setup and an owner who set up race cars for decades. There's always Ferraris or other exotica there, he's renowned for having solved notorious C Class Merc, Lexus IS200 and MX-5 tyre wear/handling problems the manufacturers couldn't solve and people travel from all over the country to visit him. They even use nitrogen instead of air in their compressors to give a longer lasting, more stable tyre pressure.

But you pays your money and takes your chances - and WIM needs booking well in advance.

Last time I went into discount I had the tracking done on my Beemer! Think ionly give a score! Was f*@! all

assuming you are just talking tracking,not four wheel laser aligning etc! Think thats a different arrangement isn't it??

Ah, yeah, tracking vs wheel alignment sorry. Forget they're different; but wim did the golf for 63 quid, think discount charge around 80 just for tracking.

thanks for all the info everyone, my steering wheel isnt point straight it wasnt before i lowered my car i just never had time to get that sorted before i lowerd it, but now when one wheel ruffly points straight the other toes out pretty bad, what will i need to do to sort that issue out?

also were abouts is the halfords in apsley? got a post code as i dont know my way around hemel that much
