| well chaps and chappettes, im f*cked...
just phoned up my insurance company who told me they dont insure 'modified cars' unless the driver is over 25...
I've tried to make them understand that I am quite happy not having my alloys/coilies insured but they couldnt give a flying f*ck.
they they went onto explain that even an after market panel filter would void the whole policy on my vehicle as it is not a factory spec part...
anyone suggest an insurance company that dont mind mods?
As i now have brandnew coilovers and alloys gathering dust in my garage...
there really isnt an emoticon on this site that shows you how upset I am | |

| more than. as long as the mods are only visula and dont improve the power. so alloys, coilovers ect all ok. they just never seem to understand what your talking about | |

| Adrian Flux.... they also have discount for nomads! they do specialized insurance for modded cars, tell them you belong to nomads vw club.... get a quote dude cant hurt! | |

| HIC another vote... they can be a bit "expesive" so shop round first... (basically do a Compare the Market with a stock car and use their st quote as a base figure to shoot at HIC) They will generally match anything...
Rado costs £250/yr fully comp agreed value - just me
Anni costs £370/yr fully comp agreed value - me and "She who must be obeyed" (who has an EU licence, no issues with that either!)
Both are coiled/exhausted/alloyed/and have some "minor" power mods... | |

| You didn't really expect Direct Line to understand did you? I was with them for seven years and they still dropped me when the mods starting racking up.
HIC and Adrian Flux are the same group btw. Elephant are also meant to be pretty good. | |

| yeah i phoned HIC... who put me through to adrian flux... they said that £1900 that they could do as im only 22 and have only held my licence for a year come feb. so direct line can do one.... still got me all angry  | |
