There was one up the breakers on the left a month ago in case you need anything. Not that you will, the big H will never go wrong.

No worries dude. A mate had the generation before that one. His was 2.2 VTEC too.

You need to look at named stuff, theres too many e-bay knock offs doing the rounds.

A decent exhaust and header and theres not much more you can do. The VTEC engines were on the limit from the factory. Unless you start playing with cams, bored out TB, remaps etc.

Just improve the breathing and hence the throttle response and enjoy.

Oh and welcome to the sometimes insanely expensive world of Honda modding.

You still gotta finish the Jetta though!

thanks knighty - i wasnt planning on going mad with it - just want to get it looking mint and sort the acoustics out and thats it really - want a comfortable but fun daily driver

it already had an induction kit on it when i bought it which is gonna save me some dosh -
just bought a load of service bits for it so just being sensible for the moment - maybe save up for some 'breathing apperatus!!'

but apart form that i'm really enjoying it
