Its a bummer but it works.
1st coat stipple on with the brush, leave for 5 mins, don't let it dry as the paint sets again. Then do another coat straight on top of the 1st, really work it in and paint should start to come off on the brush, I find wire wool from homebase or the like is excellent at wiping the paint off.
Then repeat until you get where you want to be. Mine took 4 coats until it was back to factory primer and I cleaned a wheel, keyed it with the wire wool (just for speed) and tried a small bit of primer and left it to see if it would react.
I was lucky and it didnt.
Ideally you need to get back to the bare alloy surface.
When you've done wash the wheel liberally in cold water and clean them with an old sponge. It dilutes and neutralises the nitromores nastyness.
Patience is all it needs, I have none, I hope you fair better! ;-)
Good luck
