Do you have a part number on that inlet? See if it is the same or off some faster lump.

when to audi watford today about getting the rust sorted, thanks to bazza saying that it will prop still be under warranty. got a quote done for them to send off to audi mk, got to arrange to meet up with the main warranty guy to take pics, as i saw the body shop guy today. He seamed to think that it wouldnt be a problem so we will have to see...
