TGC motorsport rally - Woodbridge stages

Went to a rally - my friend is a lecturer at a motor sport college and he asks me (every now and again) to go and help out running the race team @ race events - just to help students out and guide them in the service area -as they have their own rally and race cars (1.4 ford fiesta zetecs)


So thats what i've been doing all weekend - it was great (and ALL paid for!!!) We came 1st in class and 17th overall (which is really good)

Car prep the night before

Steve (my friend) had just swapped the internals from a Ford KA motorsport spec gearbox (main difference is the LSD ) and the fith gear plate had started to leak



scrutineering was on friday night

then it was race day ..............we awere in the 1400cc and under heres the pics of our car and the rest of the competitors

i'm knackered now!!,

I got picked up friday around 12.30 - went to the college (in dagenham) and loaded the van (and fixed the leak) - we got to ipswich around 7.45 - THEN went to the bar and up till 12 - then up at 5.30 saturday!! to set up - then rally finished , and packed up.

Big fat curry night to celebrate and many many many drinks later - we rolled in at 2!! then up at 9!!!
