also got a snow day, the dub was like a death trap last night spinning in 3rd and all sorts!! Too dangerous to even try getting to work.

i went to work towed a artic up the road with a 3 tonne digger when home

Well the missus' boss won't let her close the shop before 16:30 and I won't leave her behind so I am now the last person in the office.

I am keeping an eye on the weather as I don't want to get trapped in this on my own. I am plotting a route that doesn't take me up/down any hills....

Hate you all, never get the day off in snow, infact more peoples boilers/central heating goes wrong so it ends up being a longer harder day.

I often agree with you but when you drive far enough you realise we have no central body to deal with sorting out the snow. One road might be fine and the next a real danger. Add in the poor skill set of your average driver and you have chaos.

If you get stuck, then what? If no-one can help you then you are stuck and have to be exposed to the weather. Then your car stands a chance of getting hit by the next person who loses control.
Even if you stay on the road there are other people sliding all over the place.

I will take a route back that avoids all the known trouble spots but I also know that some of those might be blocked by discarded cars. This morning I took several detours and I expect one of those is now blocked too.

Remember not everyone drives a VW.

right i want to go out so i have orderd the drive shaft gonna borrow the works truck drive to hitchin pick up said drive shaft go back to my house fit the driveshaft get the wife and then go out

Everyday is a day off for me at the mo (still no job) not that i like workin in the snow anyway! driving articulated lorries is not much fun
