mk4 gti brakes

im about to go fit them in a minute and do an oil change at the same time then a good clean

does anybody want me to do a step by step guide of brake fitting ??

only thing is most peoples brakes are all different but why not
vw change there bolts like they going out of fashion.
one day its a torque bolt then 17mm then spline they need to stick
with one .lol

yeah do one gricey, the amateurs like me can try it out as cali says a picture can explain things better than 8 paragraphs of text can!

i syarted taking pics the disater struck

the phone died then the rear caliper was seized and every thing went wrong 6 hours to change front and rear brakes and oil and filter!!!

why was it seized? did it not go back on the car? did u undo bleed nipple? this always help if
they dont go back . and u going the right way when u turn it back?

yeah the caliper wouldnt wind back tried every thing ended up removing it freeing it up and replacing

Nightmare when that happens.

i hate it when stuff like that happens!!!.......just turns a perfectly simple procedure to RUINING your day!!!!

Funny how the actual job might only take an hour but all the bits that fail around it can take the best part of the day.

yup and then i snapped a drive shaft on the way out saturday

shatterd the bearing in the inner driveshaft cup

so spent 2 1/2 hours in the snow fitting a new one monday night

That is the sort of job you want to be doing in the snow....
