| again THIS IS ONLY A GUIDE, I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DAMAGE YOURSELF OR YOUR CAR. apologies for lack of photos but hey it may help someone out! the forge tip is available from forgemotorsport.co.uk, why would you want to change it?: firstly as youll see from the pic of the two side by side the forge tip is slightly bigger, and coupled with a cone filter and a forge oo7p dump valve it will make your car sound amazing! firstly, a before shot: now first things first, please work safely!! if in doubt dont mess about i put my car up on ramps so i could get access through the bottom of the engine to the turbo. remove your dump valve, n75 valve and anything else plugged into your existing tip. now remove your maf from the end of the existing tip. okay thats the easy part done. so a quick pic of why were doing this for motivational purposes: now under the car we go, you need to locate the turbo which looks something like this: now you need to remove the vac hose which joins the tip right by where it joins the turbo. once thats disconnected we need to remove the original tip which is secured to the turbo with an allen bolt see crude pic: undo the bolt, now the tip should pull off of the turbo go above the car and it should pull up, be careful you dont disrupt anything else! now would be a good time for a cup of tea, as youve earned it okay so now youve got to push the forge tip down towards the turbo, put the jubilee on the turbo end now, because you dont want to get it on to realise its been forgotten! and get ready to put some money in the swear box...... as the tip is bigger it doesnt have the abrubt bend by the turbo like the old one so you have to get it in a gap between the turbo and a rigid coolant pipe (i have read somewhere you can undo this pipe but i chose not to dont want coolant everywhere) i got stuck like this for what felt like hours: youve just got to be patient with it, i found it helped to have someone pushing down on it (girlfriend ) and a bit of wiggling and you should end up like this: now to reconnect the vac hose that you disconnected from the original earlier! once youve done that, thats the hardest part! so smile, breathe and reconect the n75, dump valve and anything else that you removed and you should be left with this: now go for a drive, trust me itll be well worth the blood, swearing and tears!!!! | |

| Good work there dude, but i'm still puzzled. Where is the blood in the pics? Looks like it went really smooth, plus how did you get your missus to help? Normally they're too busy doing their nail's and hair:lol!: - Gricey wrote:

That seems a bit extreme just cause you asked for a little piece of silicone pipe | |

| I was wondering if you cleaned that little area up Not a fetish about blood, just you mentioned about it being a bit of a swine to do, usually when that happens you WILL hurt yourself. We all have when it comes to working on our pride and joys. Quite often we even get to drive them once the wounds have healed Playing with barbie's, you mean she wasn't out shoe or bag shopping? Sorry my bad | |
