What do charge coolers do thats different to intercoolers??
When i were a wee laddy, my mate had an escort turbo, he was always o about a chargecooler!

If i dont ask i'll never know!
would like to indulge in some form of turbo one day!!

charge cooler uses a rad system very similar to the coolant radiator, to cool the charge air by the water absorbing the heat.

problem with that is heatsoak, how often does the temperature in the water drop below 70 or 90 degrees? and the same applies to the chargecooler once the waters hot its not very effective! as the water never cools down much!

Got the exhaust fitted! huge difference in old and new! Seems to breathe easier if that makes sense, turbo doesn't sound constipated anymore LOL!

Anyway just got to bognor and averaged 46mpg according to the computer, well chuffed with that! Now I'm having a beer, which i'm also chuffed with
