| Im v seriously looking into doing this, most likely a GT coz i loved mine, plus cheap to buy and run. And if money ever comes to me i can get a g40.
Anyone ever done this conversion?? or know of any problems i may come across. Got a guy hopefully making me up the gbox mount over christmas, unsure whether offside engine mount would need to be modded. Only other things i can think off is inline fuel pump for injection, hmmmmm wiring when i come to it, and just managing to do it in my tiny little 1 car garage on a slank, and trying to figure all this crap out as its quite adventurous for me?
Any help of advice would be much appreciated?? mite just struggle over crimbo and ride bike for hole month and buy myself the engine first, found a luuuuuurvly one for 350. (alot but has all the trimmings)
Cheers,
Dom (bear in mind this is my first engine conversion)
Oh yeah and what would i have to do with linkages to make 5 speed box work

| Project is the word at the mo, cars mint, engine could do with work = new engine i vote. (if all goes to plan)
Trust me i havent got much space, tinnny garage away from my house, whic opens onto a slant, no flat land until i go 100 metres or so to the road. I can see the road becoming v coated in oil, coolant and general car juice.

| the one i have found is an abd so that gains an extra 3 bhp making it 78 standard. (has 15 more torque than 3f) But the engine has head all bolt on bits and bobs, p+p, dewedged throttle body, 8k chip.
That should make it about 85-90 if i get a fanimold i hope.

| kool, would that just be a case of using one of those engine brace bars, taking everything off, dropping it on the floor, lifting front of car up. Do opposite to put engine in??

| wanted to but g40 was gonna cost me near enuf 800 squid on engine, plus i want something as reliable as possible, 16v lupo seemed like bit more effort,
Seeing as i now have the engine in my garage along with golf off the road, should be going ahead with it v v soon.
