why do you recommend it ? - you just need to clean your isv you need a can of brake cleaner and some patence, your accelerator cable doesnt click the micrswitch to even activate it yet , and your idle ajustmeent screw is held in place withe a cable tie and it all needs looking at -super unleaded is higher octane so more bang for yur buck, mk2's on K-Jet injection are designed to run on 98+ octane fuel, tesco 99 or any super also contains cleaners/detergents good for keeping the fuel system clean, i would at least run super thro once a month keep it clean you should get more MPG and better running out of higher octane fuel what mpg do you get anything over 25 is good motorway 40 mpg totally depends on yur right foot? Dont worry about it tho adam its all fixable and is an old car thats just needs some lovin i see you at the meet | |

| just my 2 pence but due to the massive increase in vpower diesel. (all i put in my mk5 and for a time the only fuel i put in my scirocco) I now fill it up with regular diesel and then half a bottle of reddex. does the job nicely and cleans all my bits | |

| should do. I am one of the very few mads that run a Derv so do a little bit of research and find out. As far as Im aware though, using standard fuel and then adding Reddex or other 'fuel cleaners' will do a similar job. I think the older cars do benefit from running slightly richer fuel though. it just depends on how deep your pockets are and how much you love your motor The shampoo is Megs Nxt Gen. Again, I've heard that the gold class is a better shampoo because it is a better lubricator and is better value for money. Its all about doing a lil' bit of reseach and finding out what you like the sound of. I've developed a severe OCD when cleaning my car and can/will talk about cleaning products till the cows come home. I've also used alot of different cleaning products since I past my driving test. Its all about trial and error most of the time and finding out which products your happy using and what looks great on your car. If you do want your car cleaned once you've sorted out the key marks let me know mate, I'll happily let you have a butchers at what I use and see if get on with it as well as I do. hope all this info helps adam. | I use Meg's Gold class shampoo and can definitely recommend it.... its goood s**T it seems quite expensive at around £17 but it does last for ages as you need very little on each use | |
