right, so its turned into a build thread now... my alloys turned up today and they are fit!!!
bought them from sorted tuning in barnsley for just shy of 400... they do pretty much any alloys you can think of and sell via ebay/paypal... they turned up in 2 days with all the locking wheelnuts and extra bits. cant recommend them enough!

the coilovers are budget jobbies from a vw specialist call JSReid tuning. they lower 120mm and came with a 2yr warranty. cant wait till they are on the car!!!

so far.... so good....

as soon as im all sorted out with a new insurance policy from tescos... I will have more photos...
(p.s sorry about the quality of the photos it was cold outside Razz)

12cm drop - used to seeing 40mm or 60mm Smile

I guess newer cars are fairly high..

Well I don't know about lowering the mk5 but on the mk4 you can't lower more than 40mm because the ARB's (Anti-Role Bar) rub on the drive shaft's. On the mk4 the uprated ARB's have link's that are shaped to miss the drive shaft's.

PM geoff (cali) cause he know's about the mk4 and also Fitzy cause he lowered his Bora.

Hope I've not burst a bubble silent

lol, not at all, if it rubs when i lower it, ill just keep it at a standard hight for a while whilst i figure out what to do... i think the mk5ARB's miss the drive shaft as i have taken all wheels off at the garage perviously and it looks nice and clear for a slam... time will tell though

will do buddy, need some stretch or lowpro's on there... wont be putting budget ones on the rims either... how much for a 'decent' set of tyres?

Musto, I havent looked yet but i think I have the option of having balck gloss centres instead of the inovit logo... will decide when the are on the car

Just been looking through this... those "Coilovers" are they just fronts and a set of rear lowering springs and shocks then?

This is my personal opinion, but, 120 is VERY cheap for suspension when you think about it... 30/corner to make Springs and shocks... They TUV approved?

nope, its a coilover kit for the whole car.... the coilovers where 300 and thats for front and rear ajustable suspension, it lowers 120mm so any previous posts where i may have said otherwise is a typo. all TUV approved as well for the peace of mind when on trips to europa Cool
