| i'm sure its nothing u canrt handle!! anyway, i would imagine you would struggle to find a 7 year old mk4 which dosnt need some sort of work to be done!
oh yeah wot do u mean by a 'smoothed' air box!!??? never heard of that b4!??
sounds like one of Dubsys wonderful inventions!!

| nah i hadnt either but after fitting the usual cone filter getting nice noises but big power losses due to heat soak, i found after some research the best bit is to put a panel filter in and remove the casting marks in the airbox and smooth out with a dremel to get a nice smooth un disturbed air flow. coupled with a samco throttle inlet pipe and a dsg cold air feed it is the best cold air filtration mod you can do on a mk4 turbo as it doesnt increase excess heat into the air | |

| Ah ha, another MK4 20VT. Interested in the engine work you have had done as I had planned similar when I got mine. However, I have been chasing a turbo leak for the last nine months that has left me almost hating it.
It would be interesting to compare the two cars to see what I could get with the remap and other work. I have a fully licensed VAG-Com diag kit so we could map sensors and see what the boost is running at. | |

| I have replaced so far with silicon: Cold side to inlet. Pipe to DV Hot side pipe to MAF Upper and lower crank gas pipes, all of the buggers. Forge DV fitted as well. I have replaced the oil filler as I have heard a hundred reasons for this leak. The pancake has yet to be fiddled with, there was a plan to uprate the intercooler at the same time. Which one is this push clip fitting? I have yet to spot it probably | |

| oh yes cause the quoted 150bhp factory is at fly so that makes it 112 @ wheels (preety poor tbh) its very lively that torque is dooing a good job of munching my tyres | |

| Let me have a go.... I want 217 too. What mods would you say have made this possible? Exhaust? Intake? Intercooler? Pipes? Obviously the tune has mapped the fueling but I though 210 was about the max I could get mine without playing with the above. Should be very happy with that. | |

| 3" decat n downpipe (WARNING THIS WILL CAUSE EML LIGHT but the bloke i use can map this out ) forge fully recirc valve (uprated spring in the post) Remap Smoothed (de seamed) air box drilled with ramair panel filter heavy right foot allso your boost issue is your car very hesitant ?? check your turbo intake pipe as this is what iv just had to replace on mine as it wasnt staying attached kept coming off and causing majour issues | |
